Here is our first clip of the Twisted Steel TV present. Uh oh. – Destructoid

Insane Clown Poopy

We now have our first in-episode footage of Peacock’s upcoming live-action adaptation, Twisted Steel. As debuted throughout this afternoon’s Summer season Sport Fest, the clip featured our ragtag protagonist (Anthony Mackie) squaring off in opposition to serial killer clown and poster villain Candy Tooth (Samoa Joe).

And truthfully… it was fairly fucking tough.

For some motive, the choice was made to showcase a clip from the present that doesn’t really function any vehicles in any respect. It does, nevertheless, function some daylight-bad punches, sub-MCU comedy, and Sisqo’s 1999 hit, The Thong Music. I’m a giant Twisted Steel fan, and I completely don’t thoughts when different media performs with, rearranges, and even reinvents common worlds and characters in new and thrilling methods.
However this clip was… not good. It wasn’t humorous, it seemed kinda low cost, the displaced Candy Tooth voice is distracting, and the humorousness appeared tonally misplaced each inside its personal universe and on the silent, slow-clapping Summer season Sport Fest viewers.

Being beneficiant, we’ll put this all the way down to a foul selection of clip and see the way it all goes down on July 27, when Twisted Steel premieres solely on Peacock…

…Think about the producers: “One rule for the Twisted Steel present reveal. No Vehicles.”
