Traditional mech anime conjures up new 2D side-scroller The Scramble Vice

A teaser trailer debuted together with writer Flyhigh Works’ announcement. At slightly over a minute lengthy, it presents a snapshot of the tone and detailed pixel artwork fueling the visuals. The Scramble Vice options in-mech fight and Blaster Grasp-esque on-ground segments, all on show beneath.
The story of The Scramble Vice follows Kei Sakuragi, an officer who works with the Tokyo Police Division’s ninth Cellular Unit. That unit, as you may need guessed, is also referred to as “The Scramble Vice.” In her ASURA swimsuit she’ll “scramble up Tokyo” with over 10 weapon varieties throughout 12 levels. Naturally, an nameless terrorist group is behind all of the ruckus, and your job is to drag off that masks.

When outdoors of your mech you’ll be infiltrating enemy headquarters. There are over 10 automobile varieties to pilot, a few of which the teaser showcases. There are bikes, automobiles and, as glimpsed on the finish of the clip, what seems like a cute li’l Vespa. Who wants a large mech when you may putter round city in model?
Steam is the one platform listed on the time of this writing. We’ll have to attend and see if extra platforms are added as we method The Scramble Vice‘s 2024 debut.
