Operation Galuga is out March 12, demo now – Destructoid

Konami and WayForward’s Contra: Operation Galuga now has a launch date. It’s coming to all platforms March 12, 2024. To carry us over, there’s a demo out there proper now.

Contra: Operation Galuga is a retelling of the unique 1987 arcade (1988 NES port) narrative that sees Invoice Rizer and Lance What’s-his-face storm the Galuga archipelago to take down the Pink Falcon group. This isn’t a remake, nonetheless. Whereas references are made to video games within the collection, every thing is remade and modernized.

For instance, past Invoice Rizer and Lance Otherguy, there are a variety of different characters within the combine. Each has its personal distinctive talents. There’s Lucia, Ariana, Stanley Ironside, and Probotector (based mostly on the censored European ports of the Contra collection).

I had the prospect to speak to the sport’s director, Tomm Hulett some time again. This isn’t WayForward’s first attempt with the collection, as they dealt with 2007’s well-received Contra 4 for the DS.

Okay, the demo completed downloading for me, so I’m out of right here.

Contra: Operation Galuga will launch on March 12 for Change, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Sequence X|S, and PC. Restricted Run Video games will probably be dealing with the bodily launch, and preorders will open on March 1. The demo is offered right now.
