Berserk Boy appears like a high-speed spin on Mega Man Zero – Destructoid

Forward of its launch, the devs have shared a brand new trailer that confirms the launch date and reveals off a bunch of fast-paced motion. Throw in a mixture of Saturday morning anime cinematics and you’ve got a fairly compelling motive to go berserk your self.
Berserk Boy is Mega Man meets Sonic the Hedgehog
True to its inspirations, which seem to vary from the Mega Man sequence to Sonic the Hedgehog, Berserk Boy ticks all of the anticipated bullet factors. There’s leaping, dashing, and sliding. There are completely different skills to harness and toggle between, together with Lightning, Hearth, Earth, Air, and Ice. There’s even a mad scientist and his “military of darkness” to take care of. I’m a easy man, I don’t ask for far more of a setup than that.
The tunes have a stable pedigree to them, too. The Berserk Boy soundtrack comes from Tee Lopes, identified for work on Streets of Rage 4, Sonic Mania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and extra. The true standout for me, although, is the pace. It appears like there’s a pleasant mixture of combo-chaining, acrobatic challenges and, in fact, rail-sliding. We’ll see if it lives as much as all of the video games that paved the way in which for it when Berserk Boy lands this March.
